Lapisan Fisis High Speed Downlink Packet Acces (HSDPA Physical Layer)

HSDPA is a development of WCDMA that only used for data communications at downlink by introducing adaptive modulation and coding (AMC), link adaptation, multi-code operation, hybrid ARQ, and node B scheduling. In fact, these schemes replace spreading factor (VSF) and power control in WCDMA
This paper explains the HSDPA physical layer at UMTS network by adding the MAC-hs in the node B. There are three new channels in HSDPA, namely HS-DSCH, HS-SCCH, and HS-DPCCH.
This paper equiped with visualisation program which aims to make easy the reader in studying the concept of HSDPA physical layer. This visualisation depicts the link adaptation process, HARQ, and HS-DSCH channel coding.
